Terms and Conditions

Orders

Orders are accepted via email or fax.  A hard copy of the artwork must accompany the order.  Acknowledgement of purchase order is faxed within 1 hour of The TwinLïne receiving the order and artwork/order confirmation will be sent within 24 hours of complete order receipt.  All information regarding pricing, quantities, color and design will be included along with a paper proof of the artwork.  Please review this confirmation, acknowledge accuracy and return a signed copy for your order to be processed.

Ordering

To ensure that your order will be expedited as quickly as possible and to ensure that all ship dates will be met, please be specific on your purchase orders.  Please type or print legibly our item number, quantity, imprint color(s) and location, complete shipping information, and any other information relative to your order.  Factory will not be responsible for any misinterpretation of copy layout on handwritten orders or layouts.  Unless otherwise specified, factory reserves the right to select fonts and rearrange copy for best appearance or to meet product limitations.  It is important that a ship date be included to expedite your order.  The TwinLïne will only be responsible for meeting ship dates and cannot guarantee in-hands or special event dates due to carrier delays.  Proof read all artwork for accuracy as factory will not be liable for errors in submitted artwork.  On re-orders please include the previous invoice number as well s the month and year of the previous order.  A brief description of the imprint is also helpful.  Also specify if there will be color or copy changes.  We cannot guarantee exact color matches on repeat orders due to reasons described in “Nature of Ceramics”.

Artwork

Camera ready artwork is defined as black and white color separated positive image with clean sharp lines that will not require any alterations.  Photocopies, faxed art, sketches, stationary, business cards and other imprinted products are not considered camera ready and may be subject to an art charge.  The TwinLïne reserves the right to reject any art that is not considered camera ready.  Art recreation will be charged at an hourly rate of $60.00.  Art changes will be quoted before any recreation takes place.  If not specified on the purchase order, art size and placement will be at the discretion of the Art Department.

Typesetting

There will be a $20.00 typesetting charge for all straight-line copy, up to three straight lines.  Unless otherwise specified, type style is at the discretion of the factory.

Electronic Art

Artwork may be provided on CD-ROM or via email.  Files must be vector format (formats including AI, EPS, PDF) with all fonts converted to outlines, curves or paths.  Raster files (formats including JPG, GIF, BMP, TIF) will require an art charge.  If artwork is provided via email it must reference distributor name and purchase order number.

Halftones

Artwork containing halftones must be supplied to size with all halftones at 55 line screen (LPI) or dots per inch (DPI).

Paper Proofs

Initial paper proof will be sent at no charge.

Virtual Proofs

The TwinLïne provides virtual proofs for potential clients or customers upon request.

Imprint Registration

When multiple colors are used in a design, a variance of ±1/16” may occur and must be considered acceptable.  If tighter registration is required, it can be achieved by the use of a decal, but will require a special quotation and additional

 lead time.  Decals are applied by hand and variation of position will occur.  Exact straightness and positioning cannot be guaranteed.

Pricing

$45.00 (g) Screen charge per color (no screen charges for repeat orders).

Less Than Minimum (LTM)

Orders for LTM must be at least half of 1^st column quantity.  A $30.00 LTM charge will be incurred in addition to normal screen charges.

Drop or Split Shipments

Drop or split shipments are billed at $8.00(g) per drop ship location after the first shipment.  Drop ship list must accompany order.  DROP OR SPLIT SHIPMENTS MUST BE IN FULL CASE QUANTITIES.

Imprint colors

The TwinLïne offers a variety of glass, ceramic and organic inks.  PMS colors are paper colors and will be used as reference only.  Due to the nature of ceramics, glass and the firing process, absolute exact matches cannot be guaranteed.  A pre-production proof is strongly recommended when imprint colors are critical.

No charge for PMS color matches.

Imprint Size and Position

Order must clearly specify if artwork is one side, two sides, opposite the handle, or wraparound.   Order must also clearly state if artwork is to exact size, or should be enlarged or reduced.  In the absence of these instructions we will use our own discretion.  If specific instructions for art size and location are not clearly stated on the purchase order, no claims will be processed.  Imprint locations are defined as follows. 

 

            FRONT:  Facing right handed drinker

            BACK:  Facing left handed drinker

            2 SIDED:  One image per side

            OPPOSITE THE HANDLE:  Centered opposite the handle

            WRAP-AROUND

 

Precious Metals

For metallic gold, microwave safe gold, platinum, or microwave safe platinum imprint add $0.50(g) per side, and$1.00(g) for wraparound.  THIS IS IN ADDITION TO REGULAR COLOR CHARGES.  We reserve the right to change precious metal imprint prices at any time according to the current market conditions.  Metallic inks require special care, and may wear off with dishwasher use.

Satin Etch Imprint

This imprint simulates and “etched” look and is considered a standard imprint color.

Non-imprinted Merchandise

Catalog end quantity price (c) less $0.40 (c).  Orders must be in case lots.

Terms

Net 30 terms available upon approved credit.  Interest charges will be assessed on all past due balances.  For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Production Time

Standard production time is 7-10 working days from receipt of order and camera-ready artwork at factory.  Orders pending pre-production proofs, artwork, credit approval, or special packaging may extend ship date.  Any charges to an order in progress and/or art revisions will delay production and ship dates.   Please allow additional production and shipping time during the peak months of October through December as well as custom orders and orders requiring special packaging.

Rush Delivery

We will try to accommodate rush orders whenever possible.  If shipment is required in less than normal production time, the order will incur a 10% rush charge.  You assume all liability for accuracy of imprint, imprint colors and placement.  Factory approval is required for all rush orders.  Camera-ready art must be provided for all rush services.  Purchase order and artwork must be received by 10:00 am to ensure ship date.

Shipping

All shipments will be sent prepaid unless otherwise specified. Freight estimates given by the factory are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice as rates can fluctuate. Master Cartons to protect against breakage are used and billed at $6 (g) per carton for all UPS, FedEx, or any other air freight carrier shipments. Please state if you wish to use a specific carrier when ordering or factory will select most economical house carrier. Title for goods passes to the buyer at F.O.B. point. All goods are shipped at the buyer’s risk and all claims must be made with the freight carrier, normally within 14 days of receipt of merchandise. We do not ensure on-time delivery or safe carriage of goods. Recourse rests exclusively with the transportation company. No adjustments will be given for delayed or damaged shipments if for any reason beyond the control of the factory. No C.O.D., Parcel Post, or Priority mail shipments.

Gift and mailer boxes

Gift and mailer boxes are available for most items.  Allow additional production time of 1-3 days.  Specify gift or mailer.  Note: pricing below refers to standard gift and mailer boxes only.  Premium packaging options are available upon request.

No Child Labor               

The TwinLine will not use child labor.

 

                       The term “child” refers to a person younger than 15 (or 14 where local law allows) or, if higher, the local legal minimum age for employment or the age for completing compulsory education.

 

Manufacturers employing young persons who do not fall within the definition of “children” will also comply with any laws and regulations applicable to such persons.
